Giveaway and infos about NAV and the 3 soon to be released Nav Coin developments: Valence, Community Fund & Cold Staking

Hi /CryptoCurrency
EDIT: Alright my friends I'm off to sleep now. But if someone decides to download NavPay and post the wallet I might still send him some NAVs tomorrow evening :P
I am a fan of NAV and I would like anyone of you to take a look at NAV Coin and what better way is there to do this with a giveaway so everyone can see for themselves how fast and easy NAV Coin is.
Additionally to the giveaway I want to give the interested ones of you some more infos & teasers about NAV and what I think makes it unique and valuable.

1. Giveaway

First the info about the giveaway so that the people who are only here for the free money don't have to scroll down a wall of text... I won't judge you - you do you! :-P But maybe some of you guys will come back later to read more about NAV after you see how nice the mobile wallet of NAV is.
To get some free NAVs, all you have to do is the following:
  1. Download the app NavPay from the Android Play Store
  2. Follow the steps to set up your mobile wallet
  3. Backup your private key (the random words) so you could restore your wallet if you phone breaks or sth. like that!
  4. Post your public address as a comment in this thread, so I can send you some NAVs
If you liked the experience, I'd be happy to hear back from you :) In the next 2 hours, I'll be giving away NAVs worth about $200 in total (but split up of course, so that everyone will get some to try out the mobile wallet NavPay etc.).
Some additional links:
Thats all for the giveaway, now follows the additional infos.

2. Additional Infos about NAV

Nav Coin has been publicly traded since mid 2014. It's a decentralized cryptocurrency which is built on the latest version of Bitcoin Core with many additional features and functionalities which differentiate Nav from other cryptocurrencies. I'm going to dive into the details of these features later on in this post.
The aim of Nav Coin is to simplify cryptocurrencies. In my opinion, this (the mainstream-adoption) is one of the most important topics for all cryptocurrencies in general. Nav is directly adressing this issue by providing very easy to use tools (wallet, mobile wallet, etc.).

2.2 Facts & Figures

2.3 Team

The team was recently expanded and consists now of the following people.
More infos and links to linked in about the core team is found on the first page of the official NAV website (just scroll down a bit).

2.3.1 Core developer contributors

2.3.2 Core content contributors

2.3.3 Community developers

Since NAV is open source and the core team is encouraging the community to contribute to NAV, there are many more people working on NAV like sakdeniz who is creating a second desktop wallet, slothmike who is working on a reddit tipbot or Prodpeak who is developing an alternative block explorer.

2.3.4 Weekly updates

The core team is releasing weekly updates about the ongoing projects on their website so that anyone interested can see the current status of the roadmap items.

2.4 Main Features

2.4.1 Optional Private Payments

With Nav Coin you have the ability to send private payments. The privacy is optional so you can choose to send non-private or private payments. Nav Coin uses a different approach to achieving privacy than other coins. Nav uses the so called NavTech. NavTech is a dual blockchain system. Essentially, the transaction information is encrypted, split in smaller transactions and sent through a second blockchain, which completely breaks any links between the sending and the receiving address. If you're interested in this technology, you can find the whitepaper on the official NAV website.
At the moment, private payments are processed by trusted servers. Everyone can operate a server themselves or can use the existing ones. The team is working on NavTech 2.0 'Rimu' which will make these servers obsolete, since every wallet will act as a private payment processor which will further push the decentralization.

2.4.2 Proof of Stake

Nav Coin uses the consensus model Proof of Stake which lets holders of Nav Coins earn a reward of 5% in interest of the coin they stake. Staking coins is very simple, you just have to have the wallet open and running.
5% rewards also mean, that there is an inflation of maximum 5% per year. But it is actually lower (at around 2-3%) since not all coins are staking. So if you are staking, you will earn more than the yearly inflation.
Here is a very detailed article about how Nav Coins Proof of Stake works.

2.4.3 Fast transaction times

Nav Coin has a really fast block speed. Transactions are confirmed as spendable withing only 30 seconds which makes it ideal for retail and e-commerce which in my opinion is one of the main points in real-life adoption. There was a video posted recently on the official twitter account which shows how NAV was used to purchase groceries in a store in Rome... That's real-life adoption!

2.4.4 NavPi

Like mentioned above, Nav Coin uses a Proof of Stake consensus model. Most of us have read about the immense energy consumption of Bitcoins Proof of Work model. In my opinion, this is not feasible for the future. With the PoS model of Nav Coin, you can stake your coins on a Raspberry Pi which uses only about 18kWh of power annually if run 24/7! This is much more environment friendly!
Nav Coin even sells their own preconfigured and ready to use NavPi Stakeboxes. Since they're out of stock very fast every time, you can create your own NavPi by following the step-by-step tutorial of the community member navtechservers

2.4.5 Community Fund

Since Nav Coin did not have an ICO or premine, they're fully self financed at the moment. The community has voted for a community fund which will propel the development and marketing of NAV greatly.
When the community fund is implemented, the PoS reward will be reduced from 5% to 4% per year. Each block will generate 0.25 Nav which will be allocated for the community fund (about 21'600 Nav per month).
Both the Nav Coin Core team and the community will be able to propose projects and budgets which the community (the stakers) will vote for. The payouts happen when everyone votes that the work is completed. The aim of this is to fund the development and ongoing success of NAV. You can read more about it here.

2.4.6 NavPay

NavPay is NAVs mobile wallet. It's one of the first mobile wallets that allows private payments. There are already real world merchants accepting Nav thanks to the NavPay app like Pasticceria Piemontese in rome and you can even pay for a cardiologic examination using Nav.
NavPay has a very simple and beautiful user interface. Download it for this giveaway and take a look yourself!

2.4.7 NavChange

Using a combination of lightning network transactions and exchange integrations, NavChange will be a Valence-powered application which facilitates instant exchange between NAV and other currencies
NavChange is a feature which is planned to be launched in 2018.
Here is an example of how it is possible to send Bitcoin anonymously with Nav Coins NavChange.
For the traders: NavChange will greatly increase the volume for Nav.

2.4.8 Valence Plattform (Anonymous Distributed Apps)

At the moment, Nav Coin is "just" a currency. But this is going to change in 2018. The team is in the latest phase of finishing the whitepaper of the Valence Platform which will enable the development of Anonymous Distributed Apps Platform (aDapps) (think of Ethereum's smart contracts, but with privacy!). Valence is a platform that gives developers and businesses a new set of tools to help them realize their ideas on the blockchain. The whitepaper is probably coming in the next 1-2 weeks!

Final thoughts

There are some people who will say that NAV tries to do too many things. I don't agree with these guys. I think this is the main point that speaks for NAV. NANO might be faster (even tho NAV is almost instant as well), XMR might have better privacy (used by Monero fans but never really proven), ETH might have a more accepted dApps platform (we'll see what the whitepaper brings)... but who combines all of these features in one project?
NAV is a jack of all trades.
Thanks for reading this far and now post your NAV public address so I can send you some NAVs! :-D

Detailed Analysis of Nav Coin

Hi /CryptoCurrency
I want to start off with saying that I don't try to shill this coin. This should be viewed as a summary of points why I personally think, Nav Coin will blow up in 2018.
This is no financial advise. Like always, do your own research!
Disclaimer: I own a fair amount of Nav Coins myself.

1. What is Nav Coin

1.1 Facts & Figures

Additionally, Craig talked about adding Nav Coin to Binance in an interview with The Crypto Lark (I've linked the interview below).

2. Meet the team

The Nav team is known to always deliver what they promise. Lately in the crypto-scene we've seen a trend to shill features/news on websites with counters like "We will do X in Y days" etc. which hardly ever get delivered.
The Nav team is different. They don't set themselves hard timelines (at least not publicly) but rather take the time needed to finish a feature, test it (also in public beta tests) and only when it really is done, release it into the public.
Like I said before, this team has a history of delivering things they promise. You can see for yourself in the project roadmap. They are working hard every day (as you can see on their GitHub page) to push forward the project.

2.1 Engineers

Nav Coin has a team with many different knowledge backgrounds. The chief engineer is Craig MacGregor. He recently did an extensive interview about the current state and future of Nav Coin with the youtuber The Crypto Lark which you can find here: Interview.
Craig MacGregor is supported by five more engineers, that are actively developing Nav Coin.

2.2 Marketing Director

Just recently, Nav Coin hired Kieren Hyland and Laura Harris as full-time employees.
In my opinion, marketing was something that could have been done more / better by Nav Coin. Since Kieren and Laura joined full-time, they are actively developing a marketing plan and give updates on the current state of it (like recently on reddit: Update from the marketing team. I think the lack of awareness is one of the main reasons, why Nav Coin is still very undervalued at the moment.

2.3 Operations Manager

Guy Sinclair is in charge of the operations (like distribution of NavPis etc. which I will talk about later).

2.4 Weekly updates

The team writes a weekly update for the community every wednesday and publishes it on the website so that everyone interested can always see the latest status of the projects.

3. Features and functionalities

3.1 Basis features of Nav Coin

3.1.1 Optional Private Payments

With Nav Coin you have the ability to send private payments. Like the title says, this is optional so you can choose to send non-private or private payments. If you're interested in this technology, you can read the whitepapers here: NavTech whitepaper - NavTech Decentralization whitepaper.
At the moment, private payments are processed by servers. Everyone can operate a server themselves or can use the existing ones. The team is working on NavTech 2.0 which will make these servers obsolete, since every wallet will act as a private payment processor which will further push the decentralization.

3.4 NavPay

NavPay is Navs mobile wallet. It's currently in a final open public beta. It's one of the first mobile wallets that allow private payments. There are already real world merchants accepting Nav thanks to the NavPay app like Pasticceria Piemontese in rome and you can even pay for a cardiologic examination using Nav.
NavPay has a very simple and beautiful user interface. The final version is planned to be released before christmas 2017!

3.5 Polymorph

Polymorph is a feature which is planned to be launched in early 2018. It is a fusion of NavTech's anonymous transactions and Changelly's instant exchange which will enable users to send any one of 80+ cryptocurrencies anonymously through the dual blockchain powered NavTech anonymous transaction system!
Here is an example of how it is possible to send Bitcoin anonymously with Nav Coins Polymorph.
For the traders: Polymorph will greatly increase the volume for Nav.

3.6 Anonymous Distributed Apps (NavChain)

At this moment, Nav Coin is "just" a currency. But this is going to change in 2018. The team has recently finished with the planning of a Anonymous Distributed Apps Platform (aDapps) (think of Ethereum's smart contracts, but with privacy!). They are currently polishing and finishing the whitepaper which will be ready to be launched in early 2018. Craig will be developing a technical prototype with Alex in Berlin before christmas!
This project will change Nav Coin from a currency to a platform.

5. Why I am heavily invested in Nav (TL;DR)

To summarize this post I've listed the main points why I think, Nav will be huge in 2018:

Bitcoin Cryptotrading Basis Guide Book by Reslav

Bitcoin Cryptotrading Basis Guide Book by Reslav

I wrote this lecture on the methodology of successful trading, and more specifically on tactics, strategies, subtleties and recommendations, based on 2 years of work on Bitmex, Binance, Gate, Okex bitcoin cryptocurrency exchanges in real combat conditions. Guided by this technique, I managed to earn 500% in excess of the deposit for 7 days of trading (i.e. I increased the deposit amount by 5 times!). These are not fairy tales, but reality, that is, confirming statistics of exchange transactions on the account of the crypto-exchange.
I believe that the knowledge provided in this course will help a beginner to master successful trading only if the course is not only read, but also outlined. It will be important to follow punctually, commenting on your actions in your notes.
In separate consultations, I could give personal instructions on the nuances of technical analysis on various timeframes, signals on entry points, information on trade automation software (algorithmic trading robots), and other tools useful in the work of a trader. But, despite a lot of additional software, my experience has shown that the most effective speculation model on the cryptocurrency and stock exchange, which everyone chooses for themselves based on practical experience, is directly in the online trading mode on exchange terminals. Each exchange is good in its own way, but also has its drawbacks. I chose the best solution for myself and am sure that this is temporary. Perhaps in the future there will be more progressive decentralized exchanges with good liquidity and they will replace the existing platforms managed by market leaders.
Various digital designations, such as: — in what percentage of the deposit do you enter into a particular transaction; — where to put stop limit or market (Market) (market) orders (and whether to place them at all), where to exit the transaction and how. Again, I note that all the selected values are usually individual and depend both on the time trading intervals (TimeFrame) (1m 3m 15m 1h 3h 4h 6h 1 d 1w 1m) and on the deductible amount of the bet in % percentage of the amount of your deposit.
It is important to remember that trading in the cryptocurrency market is a high-risk investment activity that everyone chooses and carries out at their own risk. Remember that with a big bet on the whole, as they say, a patty, and even with 100x-500x leverage, you risk losing your entire deposit right away. An exchange machine or a well-tuned and trained professional broker robot does not cost anything to go against the trend with a tidbit — easy prey. Do not be hamsters i.e. naive simpletons — do not merge the deposit into zero due to elementary greed, incontinence, ardor and other factors that contradict the qualities that a professional trader needs to succeed in trading, namely: cold-bloodedness, endurance, accuracy, punctuality, tact, quick reaction , the ability to quickly enter numbers and timely press the desired buttons.
You ask me: “Hey … guy, you are so smart … I wonder how much you earned from trading or how much you earn or why you don’t do it yourself … why do you need competitors?” — I will answer you: it is no secret that AI (artificial intelligence) has been working on the exchange for a long time and it is constantly improving, but this still does not prevent a person from continuing to beat him. I hope that in the future this trend will not stop otherwise — we have disappeared. And as regards competition — do not worry so much for me, because there is still a trading idea, program or terminal that I have not yet implemented and not reported in this guide after its publication and, perhaps, it will not deprive me of future trading opportunities.
So, the instructions that I follow in the process of trading cryptocurrencies on the exchange terminal in online mode.
  1. It is necessary to wait for the moment of the entry point. You need to enter the deal only then, you feel it and foreseen it in advance according to the levels of the daily period.
  2. It is necessary to carefully weigh their capabilities, ie to consider funds, understanding that futures trading (with leverage) leads to greater risks of liquidation / margin call (MarginCall).
  3. During growth, you need to fix profit and try to sell at a pullback. It is always possible to re-enter a deal, but it is unlikely to return lost profits, instead, you can get several hours of dead weight in the price movement opposite from the planned direction.
  4. It is very important to have cost control, namely, the timely Stop Limit (stop trade order) + sliding Stop Loss (the same thing, only with insurance against a sharp price movement).
  5. It is easy to understand the wave component and accept the movement by levels — press exit buttons in time at 2% and + 10% according to the 1 to 5 principle (we risk one part of the deposit against 5). The Pareto effect has not been canceled: 20% activity, gives 80% effectiveness.
  6. To work with Japanese candles, the ability to draw support levels and resistance lines is enough, but this is not enough for a professional, because the presence of modern advanced indicators, such as MACD, SRSI, Ichimoku Cloud / Signal, horizontal and vertical volume indicator and so on, is very important. Everyone chooses for themselves the indicator that brings more profit to a certain trading range. But remember — the main criterion for success is an understanding of the laws of the market and trade by market. Perhaps this applies to the field of extrasensory perception, metaphysics, and other obscure and hard to prove phenomena and sciences, but one way or another — intuition is clear and has a place to be.
  7. In no case should you enter into short-term breakthrough deals on minute trading with market uncertainty. The situation where minute fluctuations may seem like reversal movements is often quite misleading. If you are in a pose (bull — for growth / long or bear — for fall / short) do not retreat and the market will not slow you to please you with profit. Often, a stock price feed / the same chart manipulates the minds of players, displaying false breakdowns and minute movements, on the basis of which you can not rely on a trend change (this lie is especially evident in minute time intervals / timeframes). In such cases, make decisions only at fundamental levels. On the hourly chart you will see a more truthful picture, because globally, on markets other than minute timeframes, the market is less susceptible to momentary manipulations. This knowledge will give you firmness in the intention and decision-making to remain in the chosen position and not to respond to minor market manipulations. During the day, you may repeatedly wish to unreasonably enter into such transactions, but remember that in this case you will be guaranteed to drain the deposit. Remember — the market from the middle of the trend will go up up or down and hit the stop limit order placed by you (if you play with a large leverage not for your money), after which it will go in the right direction you have chosen. Although in general the situation is banal — you are led by the nose like thousands as well as you. The only true method is to use common sense and avoid uncertainty when trying to enter a pose. A historical analysis of prices, the frequency of ranges (delta) of ups and downs, the degree of volatility and fundamental approaches — to help you. I also want to add that success is in your hands and it consists in the realization of the need not to merge a deposit under any circumstances.
  8. You cannot leave the market unattended, the alarm of the price change alarm is not in your favor or without a stop limit at a reliable exchange platform (broker).
  9. Once again I repeat, you must be prepared in advance for the fact that the market is deceiving and unexpected movements can often occur and your task is to secure your funds with a stop on the market or to fix profit by a floating stop or a fixed stop limit.
  10. Risk management — the basis of success in trading when trading with leverage (margin trading). It is usually recommended to go into a deal at 2% of the deposit with x leverage and stop from profit in the ratio of 1 to 5. What does this mean and why is this risk / profit sharing technique so important? It is necessary to clearly calculate probabilistic lumbago in order to avoid elimination. I recommend you not to rush into bets, but to take a sheet of paper and bargain virtually in order to understand whether your calculations were correct. A virtual game is worth nothing, but it will save you money and keep the deposit safe and sound.
  11. The wave theory assumes entry into the transaction after completion and a clear change in the previous trend based on signals and the news background, incl. experience of the current subject of trade — the operator pushing the buttons. For example, in the absence of price movement in the direction of the RSI indicator, analysis of all time frames with indicators, fibonacci levels, correction degree phase, time of day in time zones, stock and commodity market readings.
  12. It is important, before starting trading, test the presence of a manipulator on the market using the method of high rates. If you are looking for an entry into a major deal in a few weeks, keep in mind that a stop with a loss can be a significant amount in the money equivalent that you are ready to lose, and if the deal does not take place in your favor, you must set yourself up in advance for what it should be. Because a successful trader is not one who regularly guesses successful transactions, but one who successfully completes one out of five transactions according to risk management and the calculation of the leverage calculator in accordance with the chosen strategy.
  13. A lost position can be closed without waiting for the reverse restoration of the bidding process, thus manually participating in the balance adjustment or by setting a stop limit order in advance or after the bid in case of further decline or growth.
  14. There is an assumption that at the end of the working day, with a likely depreciation, traders convert stocks into fiat (money), which contributes to a depreciation, but this is not accurate)
  15. Incorrect entry into the transaction. How important is it to exit an unsuccessful transaction as early as possible or at the first rollback to change the direction of the trend or wait to determine a new entry point.
  16. The presence of two accounts on the exchange terminal is possibleand desirable in order to be able to remain in a winning position regardless of the success of the initially selected trading direction (a technique requiring careful verification by personal experience with a clear definition of the margin leverage and % of the entry into the transaction from the deposit balance to minimize the risk of loss).Successful trading does not consist in the ability to conclude as many successful trades as possible, but in minimizing losses.
  17. Technology is improving and strategies are changing. Before entering a transaction, it is necessary to carefully analyze the current market situation using a comparative analysis, studying the general news background (guided by the ***“buy for expectations — sell on the news”***postulate), detecting a flat (sideways), determining the level of instrument volatility (gold, oil, funds , bitcoins / cryptocurrencies — digital coins, etc.)
  18. Immediately put a stop — is a guarantee of success or a drain of the deposit? After all, how to cope with their own feelings and not get into anxiety about a successful or unsuccessful transaction? The gradual entry scheme works well.
  19. Coins. We look at the trading delta with the help of a robot scanner and make a decision based on all the above criteria in the course. It has been noticed that amateurs buy coins in the hope of growth. Remember, the market for altcoins is not growing now.
  20. A favorable time for earning is at the time of a flat, which usually occurs after the rising flag or the implementation of a bull pennant figure, etc. It will be more clear to observe the schedule in real mode and make the required notes in your own mind.
  21. On the cryptocurrency market, some laptop microprocessors are heated and the fan turns on at peak times. This indicates the beginning of a sharp movement and is a signal to enter the deal. Therefore, you can not only observe the behavior of the market, but now also listen (this is my personal note, it is unlikely that you will find such information somewhere else, as they say — an exclusive / VIP signal;)).
  22. You can still write a lot about time, how much can or should be spent on the monitor, on which timeframes to trade and which strategies to follow, but everyone should choose this independently and preferably, under the guidance of a specialist, because what is applicable to one is to the other — contraindicated.
In fact, any market situation should be beneficial for you due to successful risk management*!*For successful online trading, it is very important to use candlestick and technical analysis*, which help to more accurately determine the entry point to the transaction (purchase or sale).*You cannot act at random when the market is hard to predict and often ready to follow your footsteps. If you lose, then I do not recommend immediately going to recoup*, because trade should ultimately be break even. P.S.:
Nowadays, money strives to be counted more and more. Using the information technology of databases with indexes, it has become possible to automatically and instantly capture and display the information that was previously collected by entire departments of the state within a month and after manual entry was displayed on the screens of industrial monitors and public television. The era of the Internet has come, the time of the accessibility and decentralization of information.
Today we see stock chart quotes of stock prices of leading world companies online. Everyone has the opportunity to invest their money in these stocks and earn on the difference in exchange rates of their value. A speculative market was formed on this basis, where leaders appeared who were able to act most efficiently and, accordingly, earn money. Many specialists are studying the nature of success in speculative markets.
Many works on methods of achieving success in trading are morally obsolete due to the emergence of new technologies for calculating and controlling the money supply, for example, such as Bitcoin. After all, back in 2009 for 1309.03 BTC they gave 1 dollar. Today 1 BTC costs $ 9,000. This is due to the fact that since the appearance of bitcoin has never been hacked and the technology has shown its reliability and consistency, as a measure of the money invested in it. I will not go into the details and subtleties of Bitcoin technology, but I will note one thing — this is cryptographic software that was used in the banking sector as Swift payments, but transformed into a P2P peer-to-peer network of private computers, as a result, like Bittorent, it became public, hard controlled, commons. Bitcoin provides for a complexity bomb, which complicates each year, and therefore makes it more expensive, its limited production, and this is one of the main reasons for its rise in price. As well as the fact that Bitcoin is convenient for storing funds, as it is liquid and it can be easily sent without quantity restrictions and with high transaction (transfer) speed. All details about Bitcoin are available in open sources and you can find out everything about it on the Internet, as well as the alternative coin market (altcoins / coins), such as Ethereum, USDT (dollar tokens confirmed by a US company with real dollars in bank accounts) etc.
Around this market of bitcoin cryptocurrencies, the same speculative matrix (network / exchange) arose as around ordinary currencies and created such a strong competition for traditional assets that many governments adopted it and began to use and implement technologies that arose in their turn base. Cryptocurrencies or blockchain (cryptographic chain / blocks / chain) began to be introduced in public sectors of the economy for calculating and controlling public commons, such as electricity, land, etc.
Further, on the basis of this market, the need for regulation arose and the US authorities were very worried about the uncontrolled development of technology, on the basis of which a news background (negative or positive) arose, which powerfully affects cryptocurrency rates. In the era of information, this network began to act as a money pump, skillfully pumping money from the hands of inept speculators into the pockets of experienced traders.
As a result of reading a lot of books, watching various telecasts in the industry of bitcoin trading analytics, I came to the conclusion that successfully trading cryptocurrencies is akin to art and as statistics have shown, only 20% in 2–3 years are able to consistently earn money, and of which, in turn, only 2 -3% become billionaires.
I bring to your attention a technique by which you can enter the ranks of these 20% successful traders and possibly, jointly, open the door to those notorious 2–3% successful traders who are fortunate enough to touch the notorious golden fleece and discover the world of unlimited financial opportunities.
All knowledge is available in open sources and collected by me in the book “Basics of Bitcoin Trading from Reslav” (2019), most of them are available.

Buck: Welcome back to the show everyone. Today my guest on Wealth Formula Podcast is Zack Prince. He's Founder and CEO of BlockFi. BlockFi bridges the gap between blockchain and the basic financial products that you're used to including interest-bearing accounts and loans. Zack, welcome to Wealth Formula Podcast. I think you we might have had you on before as a Consensus Network replay but first time on Wealth Formula Podcast specifically, so welcome.
Zac: Yeah, excited to be here, Buck. Thanks for having me. And it's good to chat with you again
Buck: Yeah so remind me how you got into this you know Bitcoin stuff in the first place, I mean you were as I understand you were a traditional finance guy right so where did the blockchain part come in?
Zac: Sure so I was I was working at a company in the FinTech world that provided data and technology solutions to institutional investors that wanted to participate in some of the new online lending platforms, whether they were real estate platforms or consumer lending platforms, and I kind of became the FinTech guy amongst my friend group and people would ask me you know should I invest in these real estate deals on fund rise or buy loans from Lending Club and I started writing a blog to share the information more efficiently with my friends basically and I started expanding a little bit writing about Robo advisory and some other things that were going on in the FinTech space and that's what led me to Bitcoin, and this is back in early 2015. I didn't start BlockFi until 2017 because I started following the market in the background, still working in traditional financial services in FinTech and then in early 2017 it started to feel like mainstream adoption was starting to happen in the crypto ecosystem. I'm started going to some meetups in New York City because at a certain point my wife said Zac, you're talking about crypto all the time and you're talking to me about it and I don't want to talk about it so you should find some other people to talk about this with. And the meetup composition started to change and in 2016 when I started going to these meetups it was the early crypto adopters you know libertarians, computer scientists and then in early 2017 I started to see some venture capitalists, some guys who had just left their job at Wall Street still wearing a suit, some more entrepreneurs and it was a really exciting time in the ecosystem, things like the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance were getting announced which had participation microsoft and a lot of other you know fortune 500 companies and I had started to believe in it. I was drinking the kool-aid a little bit so I decided to find a way to get involved in the space full-time and that's what led me to start BlockFi.
Buck: So I have to imagine that the response you got from the traditional finance people around that time when you started talking about the blockchain space and when you started being more and more involved with that was probably not a very positive response initially or did you did you experience some of that sort of you know rejection initially to what you were doing?
Zac: Yeah absolutely. But you know throughout my career this is now kind of the third emerging technology industry that I've worked in. I was originally an advertising technology starting like you know 15 years ago and I was in FinTech specifically the online lending side of FinTech which in its early days was called peer-to-peer lending and now in crypto. So having to do a lot of education explain it you know why something isn't crazy and it might work and here's why and here's the value proposition and here's what it is, I've gotten very used to that and comfortable with it. But yeah there were a lot of people who are like you know I've heard Bitcoin is only used by drug dealers and money launderers. I've heard that I'm supposed to care about blockchain and not Bitcoin. And you know at BlockFi we’re providing financial products into the market so it's a heavily regulated business so we also had to communicate with regulators. We had to explain to state regulators, federal regulators why what we were doing with Bitcoin and other cryptos than when you're doing these same types of things with assets that they're more familiar with.
Buck: So when you were talking to people back in, I don't know I guess 2016/17 and it's not a long time ago, it's only two years ago, but I have to imagine that the response or the you know the approach that people take to you when you speak to investors is very different. Has it become more mainstream in that regard for you know for big money investors?
Zac: It's absolutely become more mainstream you know the end of 2017 Q3/Q4. Point was going on that parabolic run it started to get covered everywhere, I mean it was on CNBC every day it was in Bloomberg New York Times Wall Street Journal. If you were paying attention to the financial industry and markets you heard about Bitcoin at that time if you hadn't heard about it before. So from a baseline of awareness perspective it got a lot better and then in 2018 you had a number of positive developments for the sector including one that I think is probably the most noteworthy which is that Bitcoin futures were listed on the CME the institutional investor perspective that's massive. You now have a well regulated well known super trustworthy venue where you can get exposure to this asset class, you also had companies like Grayscale bringing products to the market which are accessible to certain types of investors and their low bridge accounts and you started to see some adoption from companies like FinTech companies like Robin Hood and Square making Bitcoin available on their platforms. So the conversation has absolutely changed a lot and it's become less about whether or not this is something that's going to continue to exist whether or not it's something that was just a bubble and is going to die and now it's more about ok how is it going to get used how big could it get what are the interesting applications of it and what could have potentially disrupt in the traditional financial ecosystem.
Buck: So you know we had obviously following this you know pop in 2017, you know I actually like you kind of really got into this early 2017 so timing was pretty good I guess now regards. Good or bad depending how you look at it but I was there before before the parabolic move. And then we have you know then we followed this up with a crypto winter and and you know who knows if we're done with it, I guess we certainly are much better off than we were. You know a unit buddy it's funny Zac I don’t know if you remember this but I was about to, we'll talk about BlockFi specifically in a minute but, I was about to use BlockFi for borrowing because I like this idea of borrowing you know collateralized debt and collateralized debt on assets and buying something else. So I was about to do it and then Bitcoin lost a clip and I was like literally and I remember I was just emailing with somebody somebody over there and I was like sorry dude I guess I just sold it, I just sold all that Bitcoin I had and you sent one email back to me and it said “capitulation” but it you know and so now we're looking back at these we go down from 3,000 back up you know been sort of flirting around this 10,000 and it seems like we're kind of maybe that we're stuck there, maybe we're kind of out of winter, maybe we're in a holding pattern but it seems like to me that since that two years not only is the awareness increase but the development of the ecosystem itself is so much further advanced than it was in 2017. Is this an unusual case where the technology and maybe even the infrastructure is actually outpacing the price?
Zac: You know it's really hard to say. I would argue that in some ways it's typical. In other industries that showed a lot of promise where investors could you know participate maybe a little bit ahead of the adoption curve you saw crazy price run ups with the tech bubble and you know ‘99-2000 being the one that's kind of top of mind in recent memory and then on the other side of things, are we behind where the price should be now? It's really hard to say because this is kind of like a commodity type asset built on a payment network and valuing that is challenging and there's not a perfect model for for doing it today. It's not as easy as something that's cashflow producing but I'm incredibly bullish. I'm on record as saying at the beginning of this year that Bitcoin has only had one year in its 10-year existence where it had a lower low than the year before and parted this year around the low price for 2018 and I predicted that we would in the year had a higher price than where we started the year pretty soon and now we're up and you know around 300 percent from where we started the year. As that happens in investing is people frequently look at things on a year-to-year performance basis and when people are looking at Bitcoin even if all we do is stay around 10 K from here when they're looking at how Bitcoin performed rather than other relative to other assets at the end of 2019 it's probably going to look fantastic. And you also have an event coming up and in the summer of next year called The Halvening where basically the supply that's produced by miners is going to get cut in half and so if you believe in the stock the flow type models of valuation for Bitcoin that is usually a very big driver of price appreciation.
Buck: I believe May of 2020, right?
Zac: That's right.
Buck: In May of 2020. Can you just talked a little bit about that just so people know because people hear about it, I've been talking about it but I don't think that it really explained it.
Zac: Yeah and you know I'm not I'm not a computer scientist so I can explain it in a you know in a very simple…
Buck: No one else here is either.
Zac: So basically the way that new Bitcoin is created is through this process called mining. And it's analogous to mining gold except instead of finding a place in the earth where gold exists and then getting your trucks and mining equipment and digging it out of the ground, the way bitcoin is mined is using this computer program and there is now specialized computer hardware that's built specifically and optimized for mining Bitcoin. And you have this network of machines around the world where the input is energy into the mining hardware and the output is new Bitcoin and those miners are what provides the power for the payment network a Bitcoin to run and when we say that there is this event called The Halvening, what that basically means is that the output that's built into the Bitcoin program that the miners are receiving as their payment for contributing energy to the network, is going to get cut in half. So the miners are going to have the same you know relative input but the amount that they're receiving is going to get cut in half for that input. This should, if the demand side for Bitcoin remains equal, it should drive up the price and historically Bitcoin has had three of these Halvening events in its lifetime so far I believe and around each Halvening you have seen you know six months before or six months after a pretty material run up in price.
Buck: Yeah so it also goes along with that sort of that the entire idea that Bitcoin unlike you know other assets including gold is it's a deflationary asset ultimately and and that's one of the things that makes that happening really significant. Apart from and I have one more question before we get to block five which is apart from the Halvening, you know thing that's happening, what is maybe the biggest development or upcoming thing that's coming up that makes you the most bullish on the future of Bitcoin or blockchain in general?
Zac: Sure so I think I wouldn't actually point to any one specific thing, I would point to two broad trends. So one is institutional adoption and participation in the asset class and the other is better ramps for retail participation into the asset class and just focusing here you know on the US market because it really is an international story but just in the US market. In September we should have Bakkt launching their futures platform. Bakkt is owned by ICE, the Intercontinental Exchange, and there's a big core difference between their futures and the current futures that are available on the CME in that futures on Bakkt platform are going to be physically settled so that means that actual Bitcoin is going to be needed to facilitate the trading on Bakkt’s platform which does not happen on CMEs exchange so that's that should be a very positive catalyst in terms of demand for physical Bitcoin that could have an impact on the price. Also on the institutional side this year I believe earlier this year, the first pension fund made an investment into an asset management vehicle that was focused on investing in Bitcoin and private equity opportunities in the Bitcoin and blockchain sector. So that will be a trend.
Buck: Which pension fund was it?
Zac: It was in North Carolina so I think it was like the North Carolina Firefighters and the group that raised the money from them was Morgan Creek Digital it’s actually invested in BlockFi by Anthony Pompliano Twitter and Mark Yusko so that's on the institutional side. And then on the retail side you've seen FinTech companies like Square and Robin Hood offer Bitcoin trading to their users. But soon you will also have companies like TD Ameritrade E-Trade and others offer Bitcoin to their users sometimes be a partnership sometimes because they've built it directly. You also at some point might see progress made in terms of an ETF getting approved that would give retail investors in the US market exposure to Bitcoin in a really easy and familiar way. All of those things are tremendously positive catalysts and the caliber of people working on them only continues to increase. Talent was attracted into the sector very, very rapidly these days.
Buck: You know one question that leads me to is that all of this is happening with Bitcoin for the most part. Are alt coins in your opinion is that market coming back or is that something that we're gonna see probably select you know group of tokens projects emerge and then the rest will kind of just get left in the dust, what do you think?
Zac: I mean I'll tell you exactly what I'm doing with my portfolio and then I'll provide a bit more color. So my asset allocation in the crypto side of my investing is I'm like 90% Bitcoin 5% Ethereum and 5% B&B; which is the Binance right. So I'm super bullish on Bitcoin. I think that you know there's a chance that Ether makes a comeback specifically I think that a lot of the stable coins that have been launched have been built on Ethereum if you're not familiar with stable coins it's basically the concept of a dollar but on a blockchain which could be really really powerful because it creates the opportunity for the delivery of US dollar denominated financial services at a global scale not using the traditional banking rails. And then B&B; I mean Binance is the biggest and most successful exchange they have a history of innovating, creating new products, going fast and so I'm taking a bit of a flyer with them but I'm 90% Bitcoin. I don't think that I'm not bullish on any of the other all coins frankly I struggle to see you know the big upside I have heard whispers in the community that there's kind of like a new wave of altcoins 3.0 might emerge, you know could see some some good returns similar to what some of the ICOs did in 2017 but it's not an area of focus for me. So that's my view.
Buck: Yeah let's talk about BlockFi. Remind us exactly what BlockFi is.
Zac: Sure so we're a wealth management platform for crypto investors. Today we have two products that we offer. One product is analogous to a savings account from a traditional bank where you're able to earn interest on your holdings except on BlockFi, the assets instead of being dollars are bitcoin and Ether and we don't have FDIC insurance so it's not exactly the same risk profile as a savings account at a bank, but conceptually you're able to hold Bitcoin and an account with BlockFi and earn interest on it paid in Bitcoin every month. That's one product that we have. The second product that we have which you are alluding to earlier offers our clients the ability to borrow dollars secured by the value of their cryptocurrency and it's analogous to a securities backed loan or a liquidity access line in the traditional world except instead of securities we're taking Bitcoin or other digital assets as collateral and lending it rates as low as four point five lending USD that rates as low as four point five percent a year.
Buck: I wanna pick these apart a little bit if you don't mind. In terms of this savings account first of all is it just bitcoin or is it bitcoin, Ethereum?
Zac: We actually support three assets in the interest account currently Bitcoin, Ether and GUSD which is the stable coin from Gemini.
Buck: Got it. And talk about the interest because it's not one flat interest rate right it's different depending on how much cryptocurrency actually is held?
Zac: Correct so there's a tiered interest rate structure. Currently on Bitcoin for balances up to ten Bitcoin, we offer a six point two percent annual yield and for balances above ten Bitcoin it's a 2.2 percent annual yield. On Ether, for balances up to two hundred Ether it's a 3.3 percent annual yield and balances above two hundred Ether is 0.5% annual yield and for GUSD the stable coin it's an eight point six percent interest rate with no tier so yeah those are the different rates.
Buck: Why did, I mean was it just a matter of like an issue with people dumping like a thousand Bitcoin and trying to get six you know 6% of that, was it just too hard to you know make that a long-term part of the business model or why did the higher levels end up changing to a lower rate?
Zac: Sure so I wanted to function of market conditions and to it's a function of supply and demand. So we launched the interest account in March of this year. We were just starting to come out of the bear market and one of the things that happened as we switched from being in a bear market to being in a bull market is the futures switched from being in backwardation to contango which basically means that our institutional borrowers the groups that we lend to that enable us to pay the rate to depositors had less of a need they had less demand to borrow and they were willing to pay lower rates to borrow crypto than they were when we were building and planning to launch this product. The second thing that happened is we were surprised to the upside in terms of the level of interest that we received from depositors and especially depositors with very large sums of cryptocurrency. So to give you an example you know within a day or two of making the product available publicly, we had a number of groups that were depositing 5, 10, 15, 20 million dollars worth of Bitcoin and so the supply-demand that we have to manage is, the amount that we have on deposit relative to the size of this market that will borrow Bitcoin size of the market that will borrow Bitcoin is partially a function of market sentiments partially a function of number of trading venues and the liquidity profile and it's partially a function of you know BlockFi’s efforts in terms of sales and client development relationship management. So the supply side got a little bit ahead of the demand side on deposit and how much there was available to borrow so we made a few tweaks. We want to keep the 6%, 6.2% rate on Bitcoin available to as many people as possible for as long as possible so that's why we went with the tiered structure where we made it available on balances up to 10 and reduced it for balances above that.
Buck: Got it and the interest on that, when you say 6.2 percent that six point like it's all denominated in Bitcoin, you're not paying cash out right?
Zac: Correct so to use round numbers to provide an easy example you start on January first with a hundred Bitcoin in an account, by the subsequent January first you will have 106 point 2 Bitcoin in your account.
Buck: Yeah and that that's kind of neat too because then you're you know you're also getting potentially the upside of that you know I mean they made 6% but if you if you're really bullish on the market you could be potentially looking at a lot more than 6% on your money. How about in terms of the, is there like a you know do you do it sort of a month-to-month or six month or month you know year-long contracts for these things?
Zac: It's month-to-month. So the rates are subject to change on a monthly basis. We provide notifications at least a week in advance before the end of one month on what the rates will be for the subsequent month and people are able to you know withdraw any time without penalty. We reserve up to 7 days to process withdrawals but we've never taken more than one business day to process a withdrawal so they're pretty quick but not instant for security reasons and yeah it's pretty flexible.
Buck: How about the lump in the lending side how does how does that work? So now I've got like 10 Bitcoin and so I would deposit that I guess and you guys I understand that maybe that that goes into like a Gemini account or something, is that still how it works?
Zac: Correct so we have a partnership with Gemini for custody. So when you log into a BlockFi account you'll have a deposit address. When you send Bitcoin to that deposit address it actually goes directly into storage with Gemini. Gemini was the first custodian in the crypto sector to receive insurance against cyber hacks on their platform. They were also the first custodian to get to complete a SOC 2 compliance audit and they have a really long track record of custody billions of dollars worth of crypto without ever having any issues. So it goes directly to Gemini and then you're able to interact with block-wise platform to take any actions that you might deem necessary. So you can view your interest payments you can withdraw you can deposit more you can also take out a loan. So in terms of taking out a loan, if you have ten Bitcoin that's worth roughly a hundred thousand US dollars at this point in time, you can borrow up to fifty percent of that value in a US dollar loan which can be funded be a wire or stable coin and then the structure of those loans is that you make interest-only payments on the amount that you borrowed throughout the duration and you can prepay at any time without penalty.
Buck: And what's the typical you said it was four point six.
Zac: We have interest rates as low as four point five. The interest rates on borrowing USD vary according to your initial loan to value ratio. So if you have a hundred thousand dollars worth of Bitcoin we actually have three loan-to-value ratio options. You can borrow at a 50 percent initial loan-to-value ratio which would mean you're borrowing 50k, the interest rate on that will be eleven point two five, if you borrow thirty five percent of the value so 35k the interest rate is seven point nine, and if you borrow twenty five percent of the value of the interest rate is four point five percent per year.
Buck: Got it. In terms of you know the technical, so you basically pay that on a month-to-month basis and then in terms of contracts, are those also month-to-month loans or how does that work?
Zac: Those are one-year term loans well now it's the ability to renew without repaying the principal at the end of the term at current rates and our rates for those loans have always come down so far. So it's a one-year term loan BlockFi committed for a year at that rate your payments stay the same but you can prepay at any time without penalty.
Buck: Right. When do you do when would you do an actual sort of I guess a cap will call like what loan-to-value because you can go up to say you're borrowing at you know you're borrowing at the lowest rate you know you're at 4.5% you're borrowing see you know just for round numbers 100 Bitcoin you borrowed or you said 10 Bitcoin hundred thousand dollars but you only borrowed twenty-five thousand dollars at four point five percent, what if Bitcoin you know loses 50 percent of its value then what happens?
Zac: Well you wouldn't have a margin call based on on that example. If your loan to value ratio hits 70 percent that's when we have a margin call and the way the margin call works is our clients have the option to either post more collateral, pay down the loan using USD or some of the collateral that's posted for the loan or take no action. If they take no action there's a 72-hour window where we'll wait to see if the price recovers, if it does then no action is required, if the price keeps going down further then we will initiate a partial collateral sale to rebalance that LTV to a healthy level at the end of that window.
Buck: So in terms of the clients that you see doing this kind of stuff, I mean who are you seeing borrowing because you don't have a cap I mean you can on the borrow side, I mean and the rates don't really change like if you're depositing a hundred Bitcoin you're getting the same rate differences as somebody who's depositing ten for borrowing right?
Zac: That's right.
Buck: So who are the people who are putting I mean what are these businesses that are putting are using these loans who are the typical clients?
Zac: Sure so it's a mix of retail and corporate. On the retail side we actually did a survey recently on use cases and the number one use case about a third of our borrowers expressed is that they were using the funds that they borrowed to start a business, which we were really excited about. So the other popular use cases were investing in real estate, investing in other types of traditional assets like stocks and bonds, home improvement, larger purchases, vacations were all used cases, paying down higher cost debt was another use case, and then on the corporate side the loans are used for operating capital. So we have some mining companies that borrow from BlockFi. Other types of companies who you know maybe have crypto denominated inventory like exchanges or crypto ATM businesses our frequent borrowers from BlockFi and our loan sizes rearranged from you know as low as five thousand dollars all the way up to seven figures. So it's a pretty diverse group of borrowers.
Buck: So recently it sounds like you guys partnered with another company called Casa. What is Casa and I guess how does that benefit both companies?
Zac: Sure. So Casa is a leader in fighting self sovereign storage solutions for cryptocurrency owners so if you're alone that owns Bitcoin and to use a gold analogy. If you want to own gold but you keep it in your vault or in your backyard you want to have physical possession of it yourself if you want to do that same type of custody with Bitcoin. Casa has a solution that makes that really easy. Our partnership with Casa provides mutual benefits to clients on either side. So Casa clients are able to receive some discounts in terms of accessing BlockFi products and vice-versa BlockFi clients are able to receive discounts in terms of accessing kasam products and over time we'll build some things in to the user experience specifically on Casa’s platform that will make it you know a bit more seamless to interact with BlockFi products while you're on their platform. In general that partnership strategy is something that you'll see more of we think there are in the ecosystem that are specializing in areas that BlockFi's not focused on and doing things where we can provide benefits to clients on both sides is a win-win for us then and our clients.
Buck: Last thing I want to ask you about, last time I spoke to you, you had talked about the idea of potentially Bitcoin backed credit cards meaning like you know getting Bitcoin back instead of miles or dollars back. You guys any closer to that, because I definitely want one of those cards.
Zac: I'm so glad you brought it up. We're definitely closer, but we're not you're not going to have the card until like Q3 of next year probably. It's getting worked on, these things you know for better or worse they take a long time launching a credit program is no small feat you know we're working on it. We've identified some of the key partners that we'll be working with to bring that product to market it is going to happen and I share your sentiment like I wish I had it now.
Buck: Yeah seriously that'd be great. Well listen it was great talking you. So it's BlockFi.com and it's spelled like block and then fi and tell us you know tell us the process of doing is pretty simple okay how long does it take to apply for these things…
Zac: Yeah I mean nothing takes any time really. So you could come in and start earning interest and get a loan from us all in under five minutes. And we also have a client service team that's super responsive in in terms of communication however you want to communicate with them, over email, over the phone, over text message so you know don't don't hesitate to reach out to us. We're also on twitter. My twitter handle is BlockFiZac and our company twitter handle is @therealBlockFi so we're very active on those platforms and happy to chat with you there as well.
Buck: Zac Prince, thank you very much for being on Wealth Formula Podcast today.
Zac: Thanks for having me, Buck, I appreciate it.
Buck: We’ll be right back.

Atomic Wallet; Let's Get Bitcoin with Our Credit Card!

Hello Everyone! I feel so lucky today. I finally discovered a wallet that understands me. And I understand Atomic too.
Atomic wallet; do not look at the words "user-friendly" in quotation marks. I put it in quotes to get your attention. Atomic wallet is a gorgeous wallet design. I want to write this definition for Atomic wallet with both dark and big letters.

User-Friendly.

You may think I'm exaggerating, but those who have met Atomic wallet before are understanding and smiling.
Let me tell you my story from the beginning. When I first met blockchain technology, I was dazzled by what extraordinary technology could do. I was very impressed with revolutionary innovations such as P2P, distributed ledger technology, artificial intelligence algorithms, smart contracts, Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data. I believe that digital money is our future, like everyone else affected by blockchain technology. I also wanted to buy crypto-money and be a crypto-money investor. Then don't ask — a real disappointment. As a user of crypto living in Turkey, it is almost impossible to buy crypto-money from one of the well-known Turkish sites with your debit card. It was also a nightmare to buy, and trade any digital currency with your traditional lira.

There were many blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS, and Stellar. Many projects were launched every day. Almost every project opened its wallet. It was hard to go to the stock markets to trade with these coins and tokens, to make crypto-money that I wanted to save, to keep tens of public and private keys of the wallets. It was supposed to be a computer programmer, not a computer user. This is my complaint about the difficulty of handling and the complexity of the process. Besides, many stock markets don't give you your private key. You deliver all your personal information and the private key of your wallet to the stock exchange authorities. Hacking events or the negligence of the stock market workers can cause you to suffer a lot of damage at a time. Central stock markets are spooky. Finally, the commissions they receive during the transaction will cause you to get 20% more expensive each coin.
I'm sure those of you who haven't studied computer technology like me have understood me. I can write a book enough to tell me what happened to a coin I want to invest in. But it's not what I want to say to you. I want to talk about Atomic wallet, the one I just met today, who saved me from these troubles. Today I want to write a few words for the atomic wallet I encountered while researching to buy bitcoin. I'il tell you about the bitcoin purchase experience I've been through.

WHY DID I CHOOSE ATOMIC WALLET?

First of all, it's a non-centralized wallet. It's crucial for security. A stock market supports up to (more than 300) coins. It only opens with the password you know. And private key is yours. Atomic wallet; wallet, stock market, and exchange platform. It has an excellent user-friendly interface (I'll show you the screen outputs at the bottom), not just the desktop, but also the mobile application options if you want to. Before further ado, I'll show you a short video that teaches me how to get Bitcoin. I have done the process efficiently with what is said in the video. Once you watch, You will not make mistakes in the process, and your fear will disappear, I promise.

When you want to get bitcoin, you need to introduce yourself to the system and provide your billing information when you are trading for the first time. After submitting your e-mail and phone number to Simplex, you will be presented with the payment screen.

After this screen, you need to do KYC to protect yourself from illegal activities such as dirty money or terrorist financing. You only do this once, and then the system recognizes you. Do you worry about giving your data and bank card information here? Let me immediately explain that simplex works with an EU license and your personal data are secured.

It's that easy. No money transfer to exchange sites through banks. Don't buy bitcoin with high commissions on the stock market. Then don't move those Bitcoins paying the transfer fee back to their wallet. And with more than 300 coins and tokens, we have it now. The stock market is waiting for us in our digital wallet. The transaction fee is only 2%.

Summarize:

I'm not making investment recommendations for this project. However, I would recommend that you use our atomic friend. Atomic on the Binance DeX stock market. Whether Atomic Wallet's the iOS or Android app for your phone, or the desktop app, you can always experience the atomic wallet. You will understand that you have encountered one of the most robust projects.

Infos for everyone interested in NAV

Hey guys so you are interested in NAV and want to learn more about it? Here is a short summary about the most important infos about NAV taken from my other post on /cryptocurrency last week. Hope you learn something :-)

1.2 Facts & Figures

1.3 Team

The team was recently expanded and consists now of the following people:

1.3.1 Core developer contributors

More infos and links to linked in about the team is on the first page of the NAV website (just scroll down a bit).

1.3.2 Core content contributors

1.3.3 Community developers

Since NAV is open source and the core team is encouraging the community to contribute to NAV, there are many more people working on NAV like sakdeniz who is creating a second desktop wallet or slothmike who is working on a reddit tipbot.

1.3.4 Weekly updates

The core team is releasing weekly updates about the ongoing projects on their website so that anyone interested can see the current status of the roadmap items.

1.4 Features

1.4.1 Optional Private Payments

1.4.2 Proof of Stake

Nav Coin uses the consensus model Proof of Stake which lets holders of Nav Coins earn a reward of 5% in interest of the coin they stake. Staking coins is very simple, you just have to have the wallet open and running.
5% rewards also mean, that there is an inflation of maximum 5% per year. But it is actually lower (at around 2-3%) since not all coins are staking. So if you are staking, you will earn more than the yearly inflation.
Here is a very detailed article about how Nav Coins Proof of Stake works.

1.4.3 Fast transaction times

Nav Coin has a really fast block speed. Transactions are confirmed as spendable withing only 30 seconds which makes it ideal for retail and e-commerce which in my opinion is one of the main points in real-life adoption. There was a video posted recently on the official twitter account which shows how NAV was used to purchase groceries in a store in Rome... That's real-life adoption!

1.4.4 NavPi

1.4.5 Community Fund

1.4.6 NavPay

NavPay is NAVs mobile wallet. It's one of the first mobile wallets that allows private payments. There are already real world merchants accepting Nav thanks to the NavPay app like Pasticceria Piemontese in rome and you can even pay for a cardiologic examination using Nav.
NavPay has a very simple and beautiful user interface. Download it for this giveaway and take a look yourself!

1.4.7 NavChange

Using a combination of lightning network transactions and exchange integrations, NavChange will be a Valence-powered application which facilitates instant exchange between NAV and other currencies
NavChange is a feature which is planned to be launched in 2018.
Here is an example of how it is possible to send Bitcoin anonymously with Nav Coins NavChange.
For the traders: Polymorph will greatly increase the volume for Nav.

1.4.8 Valence Plattform (Anonymous Distributed Apps)

NANO might be faster, XMR might have better privacy, ETH might have a more accepted dApps platform... but who combines all of these features in one project?
NAV is a jack of all trades.

"The Big Picture" - Dollar Vigilante November Newsletter

It has been an interesting week for me.
First, I was invited to speak at World Crypto CON in Las Vegas and then shortly before the event they told me I couldn’t speak. At the same time they told most of my other anarchist friends they also couldn’t speak and/or they were banned from the event, including Ben Swann, Luke Rudkowski and Josh Sigurdson of World Alternative Media.
I was already in Texas for the Texas Bitcoin Conference and I mostly just wanted to play in their crypto poker tournament anyway so I went to Vegas.
All manner of strange people seemed to be coming up to me, including one woman speaking in tongues. And, a weird energy surrounded the event... so much so that my body was shaking the entire time.
Then they also didn’t allow me to play in the poker event! I paid one guy some BTC to buy his chips and they threatened to call the police on me! I know what happens next when that happens so I left the premises.
Later that night, Josh Sigurdson was poisoned and barely survived. Other anarchists I knew who were there were being accosted, having their phones stolen and other aggressions.
I should mention this all occurred on Halloween. Day of the dead. Whatever happened, karma struck instantly and no one showed up! I then got a message from my wife that she wanted me to come home immediately and I was happy to do so.
She told me that God told her that we had to tell everyone to repent immediately before it was too late and she went into two days of screaming, crying and became delirious after three days without eating or sleeping.
Eventually we had to get her to the hospital to get her calmed down. I’ve spent the last two days with her there and we just returned home as they gave her a number of things to relax her.
Is something strange going on? It sure feels like it. In any case, as I stated in the last newsletter, no matter what happens I am just going to continue on with my work (although spending more time with my family is also a priority) helping people to wake up... that’s all I can do.
Current Events
As I write it is the midterm selections in the USSA. Yet another, “most important election in our lifetime.” All fear propaganda to try to make believe that voting will fix this evil system of slavery. It won’t. But, when they say this is the "election of our lifetimes" they are right on one thing. Politics, central banks and government are very close to destroying the entire world.
Elect to walk away from it all now before it is too late. I know I don’t have to tell TDVers that but it is worth reiterating.
And, the results are in. Anarchy won like it has every single selection.
And the wars continue killing or destroying the lives of millions of innocents, Americans continue to get extorted for trillions of dollars per year, millions of innocents remain in cages in rape camps and the Federal Reserve continues to impoverish and steal from everyone.
Meanwhile, in things that actually matter, the battle over bitcoin has hastened dramatically. But, you wouldn’t know it from the price action.
The complete lack of volatility has only gotten worse (or better if you are in the “volatility is bad for bitcoin” camp).
Here is a chart of bitcoin on October 27th.
For a 24 hour period it traded within a $15 band! It’s like the whole world is just waiting to see what happens next.
And, what will happen next? I am still expecting a panic sell-off along with all worldwide markets followed by a price explosion.
We did make it through October without that happening, but I have pointed out November is also a prime month for it to occur. If nothing major occurs in November then I may have to reassess.
The US stock markets continue to hang in there but really only propped up by a minority of stocks as this tweet from early October points out.
Bank stocks, which are probably one of the most important to watch are off 17% from January of this year.
Meanwhile, crypto exchange Binance made more profit than Deutsche Bank in the second quarter of this year!
As I said last issue, things really couldn’t be going better for the cryptospace, right as it appears that bank stocks and the market as a whole is on the verge of collapse.
On October 26th, the CEO of Visa, Al Kelly, said that he “certainly” does not view cryptocurrencies as a threat to his business right now, but added that “if we have to go there, we’ll go there.”
You’ll have to go there Kelly... better start working on your resume. Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC is about to release its first blockchain-powered handset in cryptocurrencies, making it the first big name in the industry to accept only digital currencies as payment.
Exodus 1, the first version of HTC’s blockchain phone, is priced at 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH, which in current trading equates to about US$960.
HTC first announced the Exodus phone in May, which features a built-in digital wallet that will enable users to store and trade cryptocurrencies.
But, the game changing news is that ICE, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, has announced they will launch their new digital asset platform, Baakt, on December 12th. This will enable traditional institutional investors to easily invest into the bitcoin market.
The total bitcoin market right now is about a $110 billion market cap.
Total value of financial asset worldwide is estimated to be over $300 trillion. Which means bitcoin is only 0.03% of total financial assets held in the world.
If, say, only 1% of that $300 trillion were to go into bitcoin, that would mean $3 trillion would be trying to enter a market worth $100 billion.
In other words, if you don’t own bitcoin and other cryptos by December 12th... don’t do that. And, don’t forget precious metals either.
FinIst analyst Denis Lisitsyn recently said on RT, “The aggressive US policy in recent years has forced some countries to look for an alternative to the dollar and replenish their gold reserves. Worries about the future growth of global economy are an additional incentive for purchases. Many question Donald Trump’s protectionism.”
Sounds like he has been listening to TDV’s Ed Bugos!
In the same article, Vladimir Rojankovsky, LIFA, expert at the International Financial Center said that Hungary, Poland, Russia, China, India, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are all hoarding gold.
This, after Russian ownership of US Treasury bonds dropped from $96.1 billion in March to an 11-year low of $14.9 billion in May.
The writing is on the wall. And almost the entire public has no idea what is happening.
Luckily you do, so stick with us here as we give you are best guidance on how to survive and prosper during and after the dollar collapse.
And get right with your family and God. I’ve had a few moments in the last week where I thought it might be all over and each time I felt despondent knowing I still haven’t done enough. Don’t wait too long.
Coming Events
Due to my wife being in the hospital recently I cancelled going to Steemfest in Poland. I was also going to go to Iran and Iraq on that trip. But, I’ve decided family has to come before work in this respect.
Which means, really, my next major events are close to home with the TDV Summit on February 12-13th and Anarchapulco/Cryptopulco from February 14-17th.
I couldn’t help notice that World Crypto Con, which seemed to be out to kill all of us anarchists, was on October 31st and Anarchapulco starts on Valentine’s Day. Because it is really all about love.
If you haven’t checked out the TDV Summit page lately, check it out. We’ve added a number of great speakers and I still have a few surprises to announce. It is two full days this year and I am able to focus on it fully for the first time as we have a professional management team running Anarchapulco now. And, included in the price is a gala dinner to be held on the evening of February 12th.
And, Anarchapulco just released its main stage speaker list (there will be 5 stages this year). It’s quite the list! Jeffrey Tucker - Anarchapulco Master of Ceremonies
Ron Paul Former - Congressman, Author of 'End the Fed'
Andrew Napolitano - Senior Judicial Analyst for Fox News

There are even more announcements soon, including Larken Rose and many more. And, we haven’t announced the Cryptopulco speaker list yet. It should come out in the next week. You won’t want to miss it.
Anarchapulco will likely sell out by January. And all 1,000 rooms in the Princess Hotel are already close to sold out, so if you want to stay on premises, make sure to book your room now. If you miss it, don’t worry, we’ll likely be filling up a hotel nearby down the beach too!
And, don’t worry about what might happen in the future. Live in the present. Own some precious metals and cryptocurrency. Work on yourself, physically, mentally and spiritually. And spend more time with your loved ones.
Everything else will work itself out.
Now, I’m going to go watch Lord of the Rings with my wife and kids. “Hey kids, did you know that ring of power is an allegory for central banks and government?”
Thank you, as always, for being a subscriber!

The Crypto King Report January 15th: A BTC Special (50-Day Moving Avg.), Chart Analysis, Timing Buys and Sells (Sell Walls and Limit Orders), NEO, STRAT, ICX, and ICOs

The Crypto King Report January 15th: A BTC Special (50-Day Moving Avg.), Chart Analysis, Timing Buys and Sells (Sell Walls and Limit Orders), NEO, STRAT, ICX, and ICOs
I usually do not speak that much about BTC as my entire investment strategy is to beat the returns of BTC. However, today I am going to do a “Special” on “BTC” and “Strategy.”
BTC: Bitcoin yesterday fell below its 50-day moving average. Most start to freak out at this point, but this is the best news I’ve heard in a while. When others are nervous you accumulate, when the population is euphoric you sell. 4x in the prior year BTC fell under its 50-day moving average, and each time within 72hrs a bull run proceeded like nothing I’ve ever seen in “chart world”. The bull run that proceeds exists for the entire crypto market, not solely BTC. Not one prior bull run has ended with BTC gaining less that 50%. Based on the BTC chart for the last year, falling under the 50-day moving avg. 4x, and having a price response gaining between 60%-300%, I am very confident we are on the cusp of a bull market run.
Sunday is notoriously the most expensive day to buy BTC (most people’s first crypto purchase) because of issues with FIAT and banking. Friday happens to be the most expensive day on average as it’s the last day prior to the weekend the banking world is functioning. This provides a timeline between Monday and Friday, like Wednesday/Thursday for the bull run to begin. Blockchain conferences start as of Thursday and continue for the next 2 months almost every weekend. Although these conferences are not BTC specific they will provide the publicity and exposure (NOT FUD ATTACKS) that BTC needs to begin its 5th bull run in 400 days.
Upcoming Calendar: Jan 16th London Summit Bitcoin Workshop
Jan 18th Miami’s Blockchain Conference
Jan 19th London’s Blockchain WEEK
Jan 25th Manilla Blockchain Event
Jan 25th U.S. & China Cohosting an Event
Jan 31st DevCon
The above conferences provide the perfect opportunity for BTC to begin its bull run. The market is even much greener today as I am writing this. The bull run may have begun (literally today) but it won’t stop until BTC and the entire crypto market have another correction. This past correction was caused by every news agency on my smartphone simultaneously reporting South Korea raided their crypto exchanges. The market plummeted for a short period, recovered, and plummeted again. Only for South Korea to come out this weekend and clarify they didn’t raid exchanges and their biggest concern is taxation and educating young traders. The news agencies around the world sponsored the largest FUD attack I’ve ever witnessed. Whales and those that understand the market collected shares of BTC and most alts for the last 4 days and are prepared for the upcoming bull run.
Whether you are in Spain or not the Running of the Bulls, BTC Style, is about the begin.
Timing your buys and sells is an equally valuable lesson as learning how to predict BTC price movements. Most people hastily jump onto their exchange looking to purchase at market prices immediately. However, when you look at 90% of graphs they have many fluctuations. At what point in the graph are you purchasing? Let’s look at BTC as an example. It is up 5% on GDAX today which means it is likely most missed their buying opportunity on Sunday, and that the bull rally has begun (great news!). However, let’s look at it from a technical perspective. The price has fluctuated between $13,500 and $14,200. This is almost a 5% fluctuation in the last 12hrs. Most stock and bond investors would be ecstatic to make 5% in a month, yet BTC fluctuates this amount on a “relaxed” day. This is why it is very important to not solely jump in and buy at market, but to look at the chart. Is the current market price in one of the dips? If it is, you may not have jumped on at a bad time to buy. But what if it’s at the peak of a spike? Place a buy order at a lower price, for example $14,010 if you went online and the price was $14,400. How do you know where to place your “lower” price?
This is very easy, look for the sell/buy walls. This will be on the order book chart. It will show if there is a huge order (let’s say 20BTC worth) at $14,000 this means when the dip occurs it will likely float down toward $14,000 without getting all the way to the enormous wall. Place your buy order just above this point so hopefully it fills before bouncing back North. Be patient, walk away, go have lunch, and come back to check if your order has processed. If the price has recovered to where you would have purchased, you may have just made yourself a few % based on timing your buy. Remember bank accounts do not make a few % per year, traders and bond investors would happily make a few % a month. You were able to do it timing your buy. A very easy thing to do.
So the 2 lessons for today: 1. When attempting to predict the market look at charts, and 2. Always time your buys and sells. Specifically look to BTC’s chart (even if buying other alts) as BTC is the dominant player in the crypto world and is generally the first mover or coin to correct when swings occur. 2-3% on every trade is a huge difference over both the short and long term, always time your buys and sells.
This concludes the educational portion of today, if you’d like a topic reported on (as the 2 above were recommendations) please let me know and I’d be happy to add it this week! I usually write a Daily Crypto Report that includes 1. Lessons (similar to above), 2. Safe Picks for January (3 winners during the last 72hrs), 3. Conference Plays (from the above conferences), 4. Moonshot Explanations (multiple coins up over 400% in 2 weeks), and 5. ICOs! Feel free to follow me if you’d like to see today’s full report vs. just the educational lesson portion. If you have any topics you want explored please let me know!
The 3 Safe January plays that I’ve been screaming from the rooftops for the last week are NEO, STRAT and ICX. NEO is sponsoring DevCon, has upcoming gas payments and the most impressive calendar for the next month out of any coin. STRAT has their ICO platform and 2 flagship ICOs being announced next week. ICX has a conference in the largest building in Seoul (they are the South Korean EtheLove) on January 25th as they release their mainnet. These 3 coins will do major things this month.
Moonshots are on KuCoin. Referral link for KuCoin: https://www.kucoin.com/#/?r=1cH1M
Safe Plays on Binance. Referral link for Binance: https://www.binance.com/?ref=15316928
Everyone is always asking about which ICOs I’m involved in and recommend. Well here are the current 2!
ICO’S : STORIQA: “The Amazon Cryptocurrency Marketplace”. Great team, great platform, easy to sign up for ICO (even for U.S. investors). Well past their soft cap and approaching their hard cap! Discount for bonus coins still available in the short term! This has been on and off of my rec list but because they are approaching their hard cap I figured I’d give everyone one last opportunity to sign up! Referral link : https://tokensale.storiqa.com/?ref=6663944dff31989391d803ce
KYC Legal: KYC Legal (please use the referral as I make no $ spending countless hours researching these ICOs and coins ) referral: https://bookbuild.kyc.legal/?ref=23734776ffa2051a83eb8bc1 Know Your Customer (the dreaded KYC form). If you’ve completed an ICO recently you know the form I’m talking about. The form they give you at the end, after you’ve sent your .5eth but before they will release their tokens. Basically stating you understand this market is unregulated, etc. Well a blockchain token has in essence solved this problem. I HATE KYC forms and if the KYC system was set up in a way in which you wouldn’t have to fill out that form repeatedly for every ICO it would be more convenient for all investors and ICO companies. KYC Legal intends to do just that. According to the founder DR, “This is a simple and quick way to complete client identification procedures, which can then be used to verify the client’s identity during various financial operations (so-called KYC (“know your customer”) requirements that financial institutions and companies working with the money of private individuals use to identify and verify counterparties before starting a financial transaction). This niche is completely untapped and I HATE KYC forms enough to think this is a brilliant idea. They are calling it a “Universal alternative to Personal IDs,” on the block chain. Brilliant concept and there are 2 days left to receive the 38% discount from the final price. A 38% gain prior to token sale completion is significant, imagine what will happen when the hard cap is reached and it hits the first exchange. KYC Legal: https://bookbuild.kyc.legal/?ref=23734776ffa2051a83eb8bc1 If you spend the time reading these you understand how long they must take to research and put together. My girlfriend wants to kill me (seriously I may not have one by the end of this post)! So I can provide her with presents while answering all of your questions make sure to show some love!
